Defending Japfa Comfeed Indonesia, the second biggest poultry breeder, on appeal before the District Court of South Jakarta for failing to notify the KPPU of its acquisition of Multi Makanan Permai within a prescribed timeframe pursuant to government regulation. This is the first instance in which a district court decided to reduce a fine imposed by the KPPU in context of a failure to notify the KPPU of an acquisition.
