Mergers & Acquisitions

Overview

Our M&A practice provides advice on transaction structure, preparation of purchase-and-sale and related agreements, advice on management and succession, legal due diligence reporting, formation of new entities, preparation of the necessary internal corporate documents and approvals, and completion of regulatory filings

With a wealth of experience amassed over the years in a wide variety of industries, including oil and gas, media, telecommunications, retail, financial services, and manufacturing, to name just a few, we are strategically placed to provide you with all that you need to successfully plan and conclude your merger or acquisition.

No matter how big or small the deal, M&A transactions are generally highly time sensitive, calling for flexible and fast support. As a relatively compact firm, we can provide the level of responsiveness and rapid turnaround times that you need, while simultaneously leveraging our unmatched experience across the entire range of practice areas so as to ensure optimum outcomes.

Recent highlights in this practice area include assisting a Jakarta-based financial services provider with its USD 1.5 billion acquisition of a 90% stake in one of the country’s biggest coal producers, representing a chemicals producer in a USD 1.2 billion share-swap deal to create a new publicly listed petrochemicals company, and advising a Malaysian bank on its proposed acquisition of an Indonesian bank.
