Maulana, or Alan as he is known to just about everyone, joined Assegaf Hamzah & Partners in 2006, having earlier earned his spurs at another leading Jakarta law firm.

Deeply interested in good governance and legal reform, Alan commenced his career as a researcher with the University of Indonesia Law School’s Judicial Monitoring Society. It was the same concerns that led him to join Media Center KPU, a UNDP-sponsored program aimed at disseminating information on electoral issues in Indonesia.

Chambers Asia Pacific 2014 names Alan a “leading individual” in Employment Law, reporting that he is “diligent, very professional and goes the extra mile.”

Alan specializes in employment law, commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He also has a particular interest in criminal law as well as employment-related disputes.
